Caribou, Rhye

Poster for a co-headline show in Dubai. Co-headline shows are always tricky.

Neon Lights 2018

The basic poster for this year's Neon Lights Festival in Singapore. As ever Steve did the logo and the key elements and with the promoter's input I turned it into a workable piece. Lot of fun working on this. It is more flexible than the 2016 art, not quite a complicated as it looks.
We spent a week or two getting the whole text presentation right. Something that ended with a funny email exchange with Declan, the promoter. I thought I'd nailed this with some fonts suggested my Steve but something wasn't right. Finally Dec sends over a screenshot with some fonts he fancied for the job. Helvetica Bold. Love it.

Le Cheile (final)

Second post about the Le Chéile festival. This time I'm posting the final music line up art.

Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival

Programme for the Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival. This is a 4 page two sided DL. Unusual job in that there was nobody telling me what to do. I set my own rules for this. Use the existing festival brand, make it lively, clear, readable, and have some fun with it. I wanted it to be something people could pour over. There's lots of funny illustrations and jokes in there.

Toots & The Maytals

Yet another poster for Toots & The Maytals. For this one I took a look at what they were doing for their current world tour and just did a version of it.

Deadmau5

Poster for Deadmau5 coming to Dublin later this year. Bit of a tough birth on this one. I think this is the fifth version.

Le Chéile

I got asked to design the posters etc for this year's Le Chéile festival. The festival logos have been in place for years so I kept those in place. I was waiting for a job where I could use this font, Eagle. This is an early poster so I left plenty of space to expand.

The Middle Ages - Single Cover

The cover for the third single by The Middle Ages. Some fairly basic photoshop work going on here which could have been worked up way more. Though it is fine the way it is. The song Titanic talks about the raising of the ship. The peeling paintwork on the raised boat reveals The Middle Ages' logo, or something like that!
Check out the video for NOT NOT : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bJJyj0icX4Buy the music: bandcamp

Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith

Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith making an Irish debut in The Sugar Club. Kaitlyn provided the great image. This version with the press quotes and the ticket details CTA is way messy. A follow up version was never needed though as this gig sold out.

Selective Memory

The brief for the Selective Memory logo was to keep it as plan, simple or invisible as possible. This could have gone even more subtle than it did but this is what we ended up with. It is flexible and it is getting used in interesting ways. Get used to it.

Joan As Police Woman 2018

Joan As Police Woman is back in Ireland in 2018 for new promoters Selective Memory. This is based on her new album cover. I'd to do very little to this really.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Another "fail". One of the three posters I put together for the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds '18 gig when asked. None of which were used.

The Lost Brothers

Tour poster for The Lost Brothers which is kicking off next week. New album due out tomorrow too.

Mark E Smith R.I.P.

Rest In Peace Mark E Smith. Just one of the many posters I have done for The Fall.
