Ennio Morricone's show in Dublin this summer. On the left is the quick first draft just to get things going and on the right is the final version that went to print. The sunset in that second one was taken while Leonard Cohen was onstage at IMMA last year.

Housemeister

Bit of a busy week. Sudden realisation. That Housemeister poster needs to be done! So I knocked this up and sent it over. Turns out it wasn't needed at all. Oh well no harm.

Bacardi B-Live

Here's an example of a poster in progress. Bacardi B-Live is a series of full on shows that happen almost every Bank Holiday Sunday. They used to work with a pretty strict template, which is fine, but they wanted to try something different. I put together the white draft (left) and they looked for a few changes which you can see on the right. Not a disaster.

Hype Summer Soundsystem

This was for last summer's regular Friday night gig in Dublin. This just laid out the thing and then there was weekly specific ones. As usual with 90% of my work there isn't the luxury of weeks of prep, or days even, more like minutes or hours. 2009 was all about Gotham wasn't it? I opted for it here, it's instantly gratifying.

Aimee Mann

As old as the hills this one. Aimee Mann print advert from 2001. This appeared in Irish music mag Hot Press. Just look at the ugly placing of the logos, ugh. Seemingly Damien Rice asked for the support. I had a chance to right some of the wrongs made here with another Aimee Mann show in 2008 which I might post someday.

Def Jux (2)
And here's that follow up poster mentioned in the Def Jux post yesterday. This comes from 2003. In my mind they were more alike.

Alasdair Roberts

From October 2007, a really simple poster for Scottish lad Alasdair Roberts. I like it. I'm fond of the Block font.
