John Reynolds RIP

There has been far too many RIP posts on this page. It's awful to post another one. John was the man behind most of the posts on this site. I worked with him and company from 2001 to 2017. So much work. Massive hole in the Irish music scene. Very sad.

Nell Bryden

Time to dig out an old one. Nell Bryden from 2010. A quick look at her site to grab that link it looks like she's done a Taylor Swift and reached for the black eye liner and tossed the hair.

Rodrigo y Gabriela

Rodrigo Y Gabriela playing CrawDaddy shortly after it opened. Must have been 2004. I've just been reminded of this because I was looking for the theme to Pirates of The Caribbean in iTunes with my son and found out that one of the film's soundtrack had a whole lot of Rob Y Gab on it, complete with hidden Metal references in the song titles. Good for them. Sounded pretty good too in the 30 second clips. Glad I didn't have to watch the film to find that out.

Bon Iver

Here's an interesting one from a few years ago. It's Bon Iver playing CrawDaddy back in 2009. And look James Vincent McMorrow is supporting, or just James McMorrow as he was known then.

Poster for Wakey! Wakey! playing Dublin next month. I love the band name.

Fink

Been busy doing other stuff recently like recording and releasing songs with my band Large Mound. For our new album we're releasing one song a month instead of all in one go. We're up to song 8 now. As well as that I've been getting my own album together which comes out under the name Like There's No Tomorrow. More on all that in time.
Here's a nice poster for Fink who plays CrawDaddy this month, on Cliff Burton's anniversary actually.

Noah and the Whale

Another poster from 2008. This is for Noah & The Whale as part of the Soundtrack Festival. The guests on this night ended up being The Mae Shi and Crayonsmyth.

Bassnectar

Bassnectar. I liked this photo and didn't see any reason to mess with it.

We Have Band

We Have Band from November 2009. All I remember about doing this is redrawing the logo in Illustrator.

Black Lips

Black Lips are playing Dublin tonight. That reminded me of this. Not the best poster at all. I'm sure I have posters from '07 and a good one from '09 around somewhere.

Sunset Rubdown

Montreal band Sunset Rubdown from 2008. I like the band logo I had to redraw for this, I like the photo (even the ott 'shopping) but that bit in the middle, ach!

War On Drugs

From August 2008. Philly's The War On Drugs playing Dublin. Supported by Pinky (now called Ivan St John) and Windings.

Wallis Bird

Wallis Bird poster from 2008. Aidan supported Wallis at this gig.

Relish

Downpatrick band Relish are back and playing in Dublin this May. I was a little surprised that they OKed this poster given that it uses an old (but recognisable) logo and photo of that lads that is probably a decade old. I'd image things will change when it gets closer to this gig but but it's slim pickings on the internet for Relish at the moment.

M Ward

M Ward
from 2006. Again, I think this is unfinished because it comes from a folder deep in my computer called "Temporary Proofs" full of work in progress and ditched ideas. My records tell me that Pinky and The Basement supported at this gig. Pinky now being known as Ivan St John.

Los De Abajo

Another old one, this is from 2005 for Los De Abajo from Mexico.
