Beyond The Pale '23

Here's a full page ad I put together for 2023's Beyond The Pale festival. This is a full line-up version including the day by day breakdown, the arts line up and the food attractions. It is designed to be poured over in print. This is an incredibly special festival with a relatively small capacity. Not one of these enormous mega festivals that are tough to endure.

Perlee

Album launch poster for Perlee from April of this year. All the lettering on this wasp together from a scanned lyric sheet that was used inside the album cover. That is to say, it's not a dumb font! It is scanned text that was originally typed using the actual typewriter featured on the album cover. Team effort. Check out the album too, it's absolutely great. AppleMusic link. I put that cover together too.

The Lost Brothers Discog Poster

Discography poster I put together for The Lost Brothers showing their seven albums to date. I always loved this type of poster. I remember the AC/DC one. All bands should have a discography poster. Come to think of it, I don't think this was ever used. Uses a photo I took of the band in Monaghan. Not a great pic but they liked it.

Nova Twins 2023

Nova Twins return to Dublin in 2023. This gig was recently rescheduled to allow them to attend an awards ceremony. At least they rescheduled it. The art came in as a very complicated PSD that I had to localise.

East Forest

Poster for East Forest from 2022. I like the photo and how you can see all of his junk on the floor.

Dean Wareham

Poster for Dean Wareham who is playing Dublin in March. Photo was supplied.

Noga Erez

I'm always doing work for people I've never heard of, only to see them all over the music sites a couple of months later. This is one of those. I'd been working on this gig since June 2021. I could have looked her up at any time since then. Did I. No.
Anyway Weezer have just released a new version of the song Records with Noga Erez guesting. How much more produced could the song get? We'll the answer is, A WHOLE LOT MORE PRODUCED. It's a fun listen.

Been Stellar

Been Stellar, a rock band from New York, played recently in Dublin. The significance of this poster is that I found a new venue/date/time/price/tickets format that I was happy with.

Am & Áit

This was one of Dublin's first post-lockdown events. Promotors had to think cleverly about how to run events outside and with social distancing etc.
This uses a fantastic photo by Cormac McMullan with some faked up projections on the Church.

A Frosty Dawn

A Frosty Dawn was a week of shows in December 2021 which was held in the Pepper Canister Church, Dublin. You'll always know a deadline was tight when you see me using that font!

Beyond The Pale

Final full line up poster for Beyond The Pale 2022. I am not responsible for this design but I did do a LOT of work for this small festival's first year. Beyond The Pale will be back in 2023.

Timber Timbre

Poster for Timber Timbre. I like the drawing, don't know the music.

Graceland Show

This is the third time this show has been too Dublin. So it was time to change up the poster. The original one was, what I thought, a nice take on the Graceland cover. This one changes it up a bit. Mid Linear Blend, that's right.

Orchestra Baobab

Orchestra Baobab playing Dublin in October. They sent over tons of great photos to be used but they were all on the small side so what looked like a great job got tricky. Turned out ok.

Andy Shauf

Nice simple poster for Andy Shauf doing his Irish headlining debut this April, ah wait, I've a feeling this will be postponed.

Le Cheile (final)

Second post about the Le Chéile festival. This time I'm posting the final music line up art.

Toots & The Maytals

Yet another poster for Toots & The Maytals. For this one I took a look at what they were doing for their current world tour and just did a version of it.

Deadmau5

Poster for Deadmau5 coming to Dublin later this year. Bit of a tough birth on this one. I think this is the fifth version.

Le Chéile

I got asked to design the posters etc for this year's Le Chéile festival. The festival logos have been in place for years so I kept those in place. I was waiting for a job where I could use this font, Eagle. This is an early poster so I left plenty of space to expand.
