King's X

A band I love, King's X were going a tour this year and they had a terrible facebook cover on their page to promote it. What the hell, I spent 5 minutes doing this and sent it over to them. They liked it and used it.

Britpop

Poster for a disco of British indie music from the '90s (although I'm sure the djs will play Soon). This sort of a party for people still buzzin' after Blur play their gig in Dublin that night. Yea, super iconic British design element. I didn't want to use the Union Jack.

Cancelled Toots

Toots doesn't change his approved photos very often and promotors love the colours so this poster for this month's cancelled Dublin gigs is not that different to the one from 2009 in the previous post. Get well soon Toots.

Chic

New Chic poster for their Vicar St. gigs later this year. It's inspired by the cover of Get Lucky by Daft Punk. I didn't want to make it too blatant, hopefully its subliminal.

I got a pre-release copy of the Red Queen Contest album that I did the design work for. Happy to report that it looks well and sounds great.

Blur

Ad for this summer's Blur concert. This was in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago.

The Ramones

I did this a couple of years ago. It was to be a Christmas present for a Ramones fan. All the information is correct and comes from the original 1978 advertisement for their Irish gigs. I just redesigned it but tried to make it look like it was still done in 1978. Probably should have done the lettering with Letraset.

Forbidden Fruit 2013

A few versions of the artwork for the Forbidden Fruit festival. This is a lot of work spread over a long period of time. A lot of changes and a lot of versions. The basic idea is that of the promoter and I was wary of it. With less than a month to go I've come around and it's a lot more workable than I thought it'd be. It looks especially well on the festival's website.
